Over several years, I collected cedar root bases from nearby forests, drawn to their organic forms and raw history. For this body of work, each root base was carefully cleaned and prepared, honoring its natural structure. Using propane torches, I charred the surfaces, embracing the unpredictable nature of fire while maintaining a degree of control through the strategic use of water.
